Hi! Michelle here with another fun Halloween Card for today's Sizzix Tutorial! I have loved owls since I was a little girl. I think my fascination with owls started when my mom made a macrame Owl for my room in the early 80s! So, naturally I fell instantly in love with the Sizzix Bigz Owl Die and thought it would be perfect for a Halloween card!
Starting with the Run & Hide papers from the Graphic 45 An Eerie Tale collection, cut a 10x6 piece from the 12x12 paper. Then fold it in half to make a card. Next ink the edges by lightly rubbing the edges with an ink pad.
For the Owl die, stack three coordinating papers (right side down) on top of the die and sandwich them between two cutting pads. Then run the sandwich through the Big Shot.
You will now have 3 owl die cuts for layering.
Using the black printed paper as the main Owl body, add layers by cutting the area around the eyes and the belly from the solid paper. Ink the edges and glue them to the main Owl body.
For the Owl's claws and eyes, cut out the claws and eyes from the gold card stock owl and attached them to the card with 3d foam.
Next die cut the beak from black glitter card stock. You can do this by placing just a small piece of scrap paper over the beak on the die and make a sandwich with the cutting pads, then run it through the big shot.
To add a sentiment on the front of the card, place a Sticker from the "An Eerie Tale" Sticker page on a scrap piece of glitter card stock. Carefully cut around the sticker to create a frame then attach it to the bottom of the card with 3d foam.
For the inside of the card, cut a solid paper to size and ink the edges. Adhere the paper to the right side of the card and add the "You Bewitch Me" sticker, also from the An Eerie Tale sticker collection.
There is something about those glittery eyes! They are mesmerizing aren't they?
Thank you for stopping by!
