Hey everyone! Melissa here for today’s Sizzix Tutorial with a cupcake lip balm party favor to satisfy your sweet tooth! As a lover of colorful things, I just couldn't turn down transforming these cute little lip balms into a fun party treat for guests to take home.
To make the boxes, I used the Where Women Cook Cake Pop Box and different colors of colored cardstock. To create the sandwich, I layered an Cutting Pad, the cake pop box die, the paper, and then the Crease Pad on top.
Once cut, I folded the box according to the crease lines and then applied tape to the side flap to tape closed.
Once the boxes were assembled, I then moved on to cutting out the cupcakes and candles. To start, I created a sandwich of the Magnetic Platform, a Standard Cutting Pad, the Cupcakes Triplits Die, colored construction paper, and then another cutting pad on top. I repeated the same steps with the candle die to create the cupcake topper.
Once cut, I drew on some sprinkles and candle lines with a marker to give the shapes a little more dimension.
I then filled the boxes with a lip balm and taped on the cupcake frosting & candle toppers to finish things off!
And that's it! With just two die sets, I created easy party favors that are bound to be a hit at your next birthday or Valentine's Day party.
I just can't get over this cake pop die & I'm sure many more projects are in its future!
