Sizzix Tutorial | Smile Purse by Jeanne Streiff

Hi! Jeanne Streiff here for a Sizzix Tutorial showing you a different way to use your Textured Impressions Embossing Folders... as stamps!

Smile Purse Jeanne_Streiff

This is a fun technique to double duty your embossing folders!

Smile 1

I started out with an acrylic purse from Z Becky Brown.  These purses are fun to decorate with die cuts.

There are inserts available in assorted colors to decorate. I chose the black card stock insert for this project.

Pick an embossing folder with a large surface area for the best results. I chose Sizzix Textured Impressions Flourishes. Sponge paint randomly onto the more solid side of the folder. Mist with water and then stamp onto the black card stock insert. Repeat until you have all sides covered to your liking. I used Poster Colors (a water soluble paint that is fairly opaque but with water becomes translucent).

Here is a look at the painted insert.

Next I die cut letters with Sizzix Bigz XL Alphabet Die Word Play. This is a Bigz XL die so your Big Shot Machine sandwich for the die will be Sizzix Extended Cutting Pad, die, then another Extended Cutting Pad.

I spattered the letters with the same paint colors I used for the insert.

Add your die cut letters to the front of your purse.

Great Day
