Hello, hello! Anna Wight here today with a bright and cheerful card for your inspiration, featuring two Thinlits sets by doodlebug design, inc.
To create the scene for my card I chose the rainbow and sunshine shaped dies from the Flower, Rainbow & Sun Thinlits set, and the clouds shaped dies from the Cloud, Flower, Rain & Umbrella Thinlits set, both by Doodlebug Designs, Inc. The stamp I chose to use on my card is called Annika from Whipper Snapper Designs.
When using Thinlits dies, sandwich your paper and die between a pair of Sizzix Standard Cutting Pads and put it through your Sizzix Big Shot machine. I'm using the new Sizzix Watermelon colored cutting pads, and they're amazing!! Not only does their cheerful color make it so the cutting pads are easily found on my work surface, but they also have fantastic beveled edges that make the die cutting process start very smoothly. Using the Sizzix Magnetic Platform will keep your die in place as you run it through your Sizzix Big Shot machine.
I die cut the shapes from various colors of colored cardstock.
I stamped the Annika in tuxedo black Memento ink and colored the image with ShinHan Touch Twin markers, and cut around her using scissors.
Once all my pieces were created, I assembled the card. I used cute October Afternoon patterned paper for the sky, BoBunny dots patterned paper for the grass, and a serrated tracing wheel to create faux stitching lines around the edges. Using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid adhesive, I adhered the rainbow and sun into place. I added the clouds and Annika to the card using foam adhesive, for dimension.
Thanks for joining me today! I hope you are inspired!
