Hello, Friends! It's Monika here from Life With Lovebugs for today's Sizzix Tutorial. I was recently talking to one of our neighbors and discovered that they were moving. We live on a cul-de-sac and all of our neighbors are friendly, it will be sad to see them go! I started thinking about who the new neighbors would be. Maybe a family? Maybe a newly married couple? No matter who they will be it's always exciting to make new friends! I thought it might be nice to make them some baked goods to welcome them to the neighborhood, so today's project will be the card that I made to go with it.
I first started with the Sizzix Framelits & Stamps Set Welcome Home. Peel off the stamp you need, adhere it to a clear stamp block, apply your ink, and then stamp your paper.
Next use your Sizzix Big Shot Machine, Magnetic Platform and Cutting Pads to die cut each shape. Your Sizzix Sandwich should be: platform, cutting pad, paper, die, cutting pad. When you die cut your card base using the Sizzix Framelits Card, Basic Step-Ups, you will want to use the same Sizzix Sandwich.
Once all of your pieces are stamped and die cut, you are ready to assemble your card.
I used a few different colors for the clouds, you can also use a patterned background paper and then white pieces with different color stamps.
The Sizzix Framelits & Stamps Set Welcome Home included a Welcome stamp which was perfect for greeting our new neighbors.
You can make this card to give to friends who are moving away, or even as a notice that you are moving yourself. I've grown to love the Framelits and Stamp sets because they are so versatile and easy to use! How will you use this set?
