Sizzix Tutorial | Thank You Card with Thinlits by Aida Haron

Hello Crafties, Aida here again with a card Sizzix Tutorial! I am continually amazed by the varieties of Thinlits available to crafters, so many choices and endless craft play for us all. Today I made a card using Thinlits designed by Lori Whitlock and the package comes with cute Textured Impressions Embossing Folders you will totally love! What makes the card even prettier is the Authentique collection Classique: Pretty with an elegant, timeless appeal of pink and blue colors.

Main:01

I've used the Lori Whitlocks's Embossed Gift Tags Thinlits and Textured Impressions Embossing Folders for this thank you card.

Here is a closer look.

01

To begin, I die cut a bracket shape with white card stock using the Thinlits and the Magnetic Platform. Here you will see how clean the shape is after die cutting.

Using the Textured Impression folder Thank You, emboss the bracket shape. I have used Tab 1 for embossing folders on the Extended Multipurpose Platform.

03

From the same Thinlits set, I die cut a tag shape in a script patterned paper from the Classique: Pretty Collection.

04

Ink the embossed Thank You tag and the Script paper tag with Distress Inks Spun Sugar and Antique Linen. Earlier I had die cut a tiny bird with a Thinlit in the set, and that is inked lightly too.

05

I am a huge fan of Ranger Stickles as I feel it adds that little *oomph!* to paper projects... especially cards. Using my finger, I gently smoothed Crystal Stickles on to the surface of the embossed tag making sure the glitter gets into the recessed parts.

06

I fussy cut  a couple of roses and leaves from the paper.

And trimmed a white card stock to 3" x 4.5" and adhered the Script paper on that, then the  embossed Thank You. You may like to use sticky foam dots to create height.

Finally I added the fussy cut flowers and leaves, the little blue bird and a button. The pretty pink lace paper makes a perfect base to complete the card.

Handmade cards are wonderful addition to gifts and with good ole' snail mail making a comeback, they will be truly appreciated. I hope this week has been treating you well, thank you for coming by!
