No holiday goes unnoticed in my home, especially Halloween and we celebrate big with a fun party every year. For my challenge project, I created Spooky Treat Bags with Tags, perfect for any Halloween party. Not too scary and great for all ages!
I started with a store bought window kraft paper treat bag and embossed it using the Bats embossing folder from the Sizzix Textured Impressions Bats and Owl Set. To emboss the bag, I made a sandwich using the Standard Cutting Pads and Multipurpose Platform and ran it through the Sizzix Big Shot. To enhance the embossing, I lightly rubbed the bag with a black ink pad. Using the Brenda Pinnick Boo Phrase and Frame Originals die and black glitter card stock, I adhered the frame around the window on the bag and added BOO to the front.
For the tag, I used Bat paper from the Eerie Tale Collection by Graphic 45 and the Plain Bookmark Bigz die. To die cut the tag, I made a sandwich by placing the Bigz die between two standard cutting pads and passing it through the Big Shot. Next, I cut two ovals using the Ovals #2 Originals Die and layered them on the tag to add dimension. I lightly rubbed the edges of the tag and the front oval with black ink. Using the Halloween Set #2 Sizzlits die set by Brenda Pinnick, I die cut the word Beware on black glitter card stock and adhered it to the tag.
Then I filled the bag with gumballs and attached the tag with black tulle for a finishing touch.
There you have it, Spooky Treat Bags and coordinating tags! I hope you feel inspired to create your own treat bags and tags using your favorite Halloween Sizzix dies! I can't wait to see your Sizzix Challenge Halloween entries!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
