Sizzix Tutorial | Trailer Party Favor Box by Jessica Roe

Hi! It's Jessica from Everyday Party Magazine here today to share how to make an ADORABLE 3-d vintage travel Trailer Party Favor Box from one of my very favorite Sizzix designers, Eileen Hull!

Begin by cutting the roof and body of the 3D Sizzix Travel Trailer.  Make a sandwich.  This sandwich is one Sizzix Extended Cutting Pad, the Sizzix Scoreboards XL Die Travel Trailer 3D, paper of choice, and the second Sizzix Extended Cutting Pad.  Run it through the Sizzix Big Shot, and set aside.  You will need to cut two of the roof parts.

At this point, you can assemble the travel trailer, or you can use the Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 13PK Travel Trailer dies to cut out hubcaps, doors, and windows.  I wanted to add a little more to the exterior and I knew those would be the perfect final touches.

To make those, you will need to make a different Sizzix sandwich.  For this sandwich, you will need to start with Sizzix Standard Magnetic Platform for Wafer Thin Dies, one Sizzix Standard Cutting Pad, paper of choice, and the second Sizzix Standard Cutting Pad. Run it through the Sizzix Big Shot and set aside.

To assemble the trailer, use glue or a tape gun and apply adhesive to the scored and folded tabs on the roof and stick onto the body.  Repeat for each side.  Stick the (optional) hubcaps to the wheels and adhere to the body of the trailer near the wheel wells.  Repeat for the opposite side.  Add the trailer hitch to the underside with glue or double sided tape.  (I found that hot glue worked best with the corrugated card stock) Embellish as desired.

I will be making a dozen more of these fun trailers for my nephew's upcoming camping birthday party to use as favor boxes!

I hope I have inspired you!
