Hi everyone, Audrey here, with a fun and easy holiday ornament idea to share with you today. I love the look of fabric and felt ornaments, and every year I try to add a new one to my collection. This year, I've crafted up these simple and beautiful winter white stars thanks to the help of my Sizzix Stacked Stars Die.
I love the simple elegance of these stars, and think they will look great on my holiday tree. I made a bunch of extras to add to the tops of my gift packages this year, too. I think they'll look great tied up in pretty red bows, and they'll be a nice little extra gift for my friends and family. With a gift idea this easy, you can craft up enough ornaments for everyone on your gift giving list in no time at all.
Here's all you need to do.
Die cut the largest star from the Bigz Stacked Star Die from white cotton fabric or felt.
Find and select the JOY sentiment from the Sizzix Framelits Snowman Die & Stamp set, and stamp the sentiment onto the center of each star using red ink.
Pin the star onto a square of cream felt, making sure the square is large enough for at least a 1/4" border all the way around. Tie a loop from hemp and tuck the loop between the fabric layers at the top of the star.
Stitch approximately 3/4 of the way around the edge of the star, then fill the opening with a small amount of polyfill fiber before stitching all the way closed.
Trim around the cream felt using pinking shears. Then stitch a pearl button to the top of the star.
Repeat the process until you have a whole winter wonderland of holiday stars!
